Part II

there are many ways a life can change–a car crash upends a life immediately while destructive relationships erode the soul over time–and depending on the circumstances behind that shift, a person may barely notice exactly what they are losing about themselves until it is gone

part ii was a series of sketchbooks drawn over the course of six months where i was intensely concentrating on the various factors in my life that had seemed to suddenly change my personal relationship with art, which had for 15 years prior been fairly reliable

for this exercise i returned to the absolute basics–pen and paper, line and shape, black and white–in an attempt to re-wire my brain and re-connect with my creative self

There were six sketchbooks

Each was a Strathmore softcover perfect-bound 96-page book about 7×9 inches in size. The linework was done in either Micron pens or Sharpie writing pens.
